has 20,000 people out and in baltimore county and baltimore city, they still have 70,000 people there without power. so the pain unfortunately is being shared throughout the state. and again, we hope -- we did see some crews here. they tell us they've been working 24/7 and we it tell you we did see crews coming buy looking at the wires here. they are on duty july 4th even at 4:00 or 5:00 in the morning. >> good to know. thank you. >>> making other headlines, some metro passengers taking a big risk. they climbed out of a train and walked on to the tracks. this happened after atrain broke down outside the college park station yesterday. we're told one passenger hit the emergency button and then got out. then, a few others followed trying to walk to the station. the train was eventually pushed into the station and metro is looking into why it broke down in the first place. it is also reminding passengers to never walk on the tracks. >>> all right. they are getting set for an all star-studded capitol 4th. this is video of last night's dress rehearsal. >> it was cut short. u.s. capit

in baltimore. 74 in ocean city. this has been a good summer to be down at the beaches. need any relief you can get. sentinel radar, we are quiet here in the immediate washington area. off to the north and west there, southwest pennsylvania, you're going to have some thunderstorm activity. that is the leading edge of that warmer air that will be moving in here shortly. so, yeah, there could be a few clouds or a little bit of thunderstorm activity if you are well off to the northerly this morning. then we are just generally going to be sunny and hot today but very hot. we have a heat advisory which goes into effect at noon. it will feel like 105 later this afternoon when you mix in the humidity. there could be a few isolated storms later today and anything that gets going in 100-degree heat can be strong. >> thank you. >>> time to toss things over to julie wright and see how things are going on the road. already busy right, with the beer struck. >> with the beer struck. you got that right. folk even hitting mere up on twitter asking what they can do to help with the clean-up. as hot as it's goin

ocean city, you are next with this storm. washington, as you get up towards columbia and baltimore, a few showers up into the baltimore area, but otherwise, i think we'll wake up warm and rather muggy out this with overnight lows jut not bottoming out a whole lot. back into the upper 70s and low 80s. this piece of energy moving through. it is drying out the atmosphere a little bit behind it in its wake. we are thinking things will be a little less humid out there today. not going to be a comfortable day with highs in the mid-90s. it won't feel quite as bad as it has the past several days. here is why it is not a comfortable start. 80 in washington. we are not getting reports from several stations because of electric problems. 69 in martinsburg and 70 in hagerstown. a little better here north and west of the city. sunshine, hot, could be a few storms later today. most of your day dry. 95, wind out of the north and west at five to 10. late are tonight, partly cloudy skies, warm and muggy overnight. 74 the overnight low and your wind continue to be here out of the north and west at fi
